This isnt a Saturn, its a 1989-994 Nissan 240SX |

That is what I was thinking. The roof, front end and rear end doesn't match to Saturn.... |

Did the '89 240SXs have the motorized belts? |

@ an unusual eye: some of these are listed as "hatchback" and others as "coupé" which is the most correct? |

wow ~ my apologies... i missed this comment for months. for the sake of differentiation, and to best fall in line with nissan's terminology, the two door model with the trunk should be listed as a coupé, and the ones such as this should be listed as hatchbacks. nissan (and datsun before), often had their own preferences as for body style terminology, but most regularly, if there was a 2 door "notchback" version of a car that was also offered in a 3 door hatchback, the term coupé would have been applied to the version with the trunk. i'll try to correct these when i get some time if someone doesn't beat me to it. another thing interesting to note (related, but not pertaining to this car) is that since the introduction of the 2+2 body style z-car in 1974, datsun chose to refer to the 2 seat version of the z as a "coupé", while calling the 2+2 models "hatchbacks". i think that i've already corrected most body style classifications of the z-cars we have listed, though i'm sure a few may have slipped through. |
