With specific overriders on the bumpers, made for export . It's either the 1959+ Floride Coupé, or a 1962 Caravelle |

Because of the black hardtop it will rather be Floride (or Floride S) Convertible. The four-seater Caravelle would have had the roof painted in the colour of the body. But in some markets (like USA) the Floride was called Caravelle... And because of the LHD this car is not 'made for J' |

@DynaMike: a little bit nitpicking "Made for J" doesn't mean automatically, that the car has to be RHD. As my Japanese friend Hiroshi has told me, that often the customer can decide, if the car shall be RHD or LHD. It depends finally, if the importer or the car-company itself make it possible. |

@ingo: The reason why DynaMike posted as made for Japan is due to the sealed beam headlights |

It was already listed as 'made for J', and I questioned if this was correct, because of the LHD (and no mirrors on the front of the front fenders). I guess it is rather 'made for USA'... By the thumbnails provided by Boogieman it is clear that it is an early Floride version (no air grilles on top of the rear engine lid), but if it is indeed an American version, then it would have had the name Caravelle, anyway. |
