Whoah! I've never seen a Mini with rectangular headlights. It looks strange . . . |

It was a 1960s conversion known as the Minisprint, also with lowered roof and removal of front and rear side seams. Engine uprated as well. Not many made, but usually based on Cooper S - like this one with small S above bonnet badge. -- Last edit: 2010-07-19 23:42:17 |

I was one of the previous owners and still have original log book. It was a Stewart and Arden mini sprint which was in the 1966 motor show, in Earls Court |

Neither are Minisprints - red #92 looks normal Cooper S with home-made racer upgrades, the maroon a normal Mini Minor in beautiful condition. Maybe cousins more than siblings. I'd say it's your choice whether to give separate pages - they can live here as 1 as main programme page is pretty big, but as cars they have definite identities and are sufficiently different to earn own pages. |

Thanks. I'll keep them here for now as they don't serve much role beyond being part of establishing shots of some sort, and not really something the presenters brought up or worked on. If future episodes bring about a Morris Mini of that era as something Mike does business with I'll copy-paste it there as well. -- Last edit: 2022-09-17 16:01:06 |
