Barrett ◊ 2010-05-04 22:42	I find the nomenclature a bit confusing with these..... no air intakes = 1962+ though... I THINK it's a Floride rather than a Caravelle, but i'm happy to be proven wrong!

DynaMike ◊ 2010-05-04 23:53	Very confusing indeed. The first series (with side air intakes) were called Floride, exceot on some export markets like USA. In 1962 the side air intakes were dropped, there was an air intake on top of the rear bonnet, the wheels got holes, and the car was called Floride S or, on some markets and for the new 4-seater coupé, Caravelle. In 1963 all models were called Caravelle 1100, 'Caravelle' written on the front facia, and the front indicators became rectangular. In 1966 they became Caravelle S, recognisable by the sporty steering wheel. This one has plain sides, wheels with holes and still the old, round front indicators, terefore it is a 1962 (only) Floride S (except when they used the caravelle name in Japan...?).
