It is a 60s Fiat, but it's not a factory body. I'd guess it was more likely to be on a 1100/1500 base too. The headlight arrangement is similar to some Morettis but It's not a Moretti that i've seen before. I think the V-shaped trim on the grille will be a big clue here, i'm sure there are some special-bodied Fiat experts on this site? |

Well it seems it's not a Fiat at all, but one of the Studebaker Larks designed by Frua for Italsuisse in 1960. A very rare car, what a shame this one was destroyed! Thank you to Allemano at the wonderful www.autopuzzles.com for identifying this one! |

Great find! From I understand, only 3 or 4 made and 2 survived http://www.pietro-frua.de/italsuisse/1960_studebaker.htm |

Barrett, excellent investigation! I didn't suppose American pedigree here. Poor Lark. ["] Nobody saw its rarity, destroyed as just another crap, what a waste... |

In this scene, they pour petrol over a number of luxury cars such as Porsches, Jaguars, and Mercedes. When the fire starts, they're all mysteriously replaced by noticeably battered older cars, such as the VW Beetle just visible in one of the thumbnails! |

Interesting. I had never heard of this Studebaker variant. |

It looks like there are actually two of these in shot? One on each side of the screen. |
