1987 Dodge Daytona It is funny: Most cars were sponsored from Chrylser. They showed even some new models in the film before they were available from the dealers! |

That is the 2.2 turbo I car from the opening race scene that was taken to be chopped for parts. Should at least be rated as a 2 star car. |

dwc43 is right. The car deserves 2 1/2 stars... |

this is the wrong car, compare the front ends, the daytona in the opening credits is an 85-86 |

they did that in another movie too...think Cannonball Run. They show an earlier 84ish Daytona TZ and then later show a newer Daytona TZ with the pop-up headlights (i hated when they gave it that facelift. And when on the show "Hunter" they gave DeeDee the newer version when I loved the older. |

The white 1986 Turbo Z that dickkiller has pictured above should have it's own entry. I don't see it listed with all the other cars for this movie. |

Just re-watched The Wraith. This white '87 (with pop-up lights) never leaves the garage. They show it on the same lift right before the garage explodes. I'd say this '87 is no more than a 1-star. I'm thinking the white '86 that's in the beginning race (the one dickkiller posted above) is the red one that has it's own listing just painted red/black (or it could be 2 separate '86 models. So his comment/pictures belong under that one. Both of those would be 3 star. |
