GMC Old Look on the left. Looks like a model 4507? series -- Last edit: 2010-03-18 00:36:16 |

This is by no means a 4507. From the window configuration I would say that it would have to be a special TDH 5502 built only for Chicago. The only problem is that the livery, timing and location don't seem to jive. Sorry I can't be of more help on this one. Regards, Mr. 'L' |

It could be a TDH-5103 or 5105 after all. What seems to be the fourth paired window of the 5502 could be in fact the single window of the 510x followed by the emergency door (note the separation between the standee windows). The fact that they look paired is probably just a photography artifact. If it was a 5502, then where is the emergency door? |

Additionally, the TDH-5502 had a double-wide front door and therefore much longer front end overhang than the one seen in the bus of the picture. The separation between the driver's window and the first passenger window was also larger. This is definitely a TDH-51xx. -- Last edit: 2017-11-06 10:38:08 |

The General Motors TDH-5502 was a 41½ foot Old Look built in 1948 in the United States. All 101 units were built for the Chicago Motor Coach. |
