Not necessarily so. Many R-R owners carried a radiator cap without the "Spirit of Ecstacy" attached because of the possibility of theft when the car was left unattended in town. Looks like a 20/25 to me. |

It could be a 1932/33 Rolls Royce 20/25 standardised sports saloon by Park Ward. This bodystyle became much more common on Bentley's which started to be delivered in 1933. |

I'm fascinated by the raked 'A' pillar and front door edge in combination with the short bonnet (hood!) with vertical- edged side panels. The body is not likely to be earlier than 1934 and usual practice for sports saloons was to make the bonnet overlap the scuttle and give its rear edge a rake that harmonized with that of the 'A' pillar. So--this could just possibly be an earlier chassis re- bodied. |
