I believe it should go as Uralvagonzavod T-55. Many tanks on "Uralvagonzavod T-55" page might be made by Bumar or Czechoslovakia in fact, but we can't tell... |

Well, we never imported T-55 from USSR (only few T-54 - for tests). Polish - built T-55's can be recognize by more oval gunner's sight aperture and coaxial machinegun cover; characteristic box on the turret side and slightly modified engine deck. So, I think it should be Bumar and - as 130rapid say - model origin USSR, built in Poland. oł jea mój pierwszy pościk... -- Last edit: 2010-04-06 10:32:01 |

Ekhm... I mean that vehicle on lower-right photo is T-54AM. On main photo is T-55A (with anti-radiation hatch collars) Kurde, narobiłem bigosu.... Może podam daty wejścia do produkcji/służby poszczególnych wariantów (tylko polska armia): T-54A - 1956 T-54AM - 1962 T-55 - 1964 T-55A - 1967 T-55AM "Merida" - 1986 |

So what should it be in the end? (as the end of the discussion is rather incomprehensible for me ![]() (and maybe I have incorrectly renamed some ZM Labedy to Bumar? As no other comment followed the older pages, I assumed these were correct) -- Last edit: 2010-04-07 16:42:51 |

Yes it was correct. The ones you have renamed back to Bumar were just today renamed to ZM Labedy ![]() No alone Bumar in case of the tanks - or Łabędy or Bumar-Łabędy depends on years. The original names are wirtten with "ł" and "ę", so maybe it would be possible to update them with these letters(?) as "Labedy" sounds really exotic next to the pronunciation of orginal word, and rather noone will guess it is the same thing. -- Last edit: 2010-04-07 17:50:06 |

Sorry ![]() Later I'll add the special characters to these, like I did for other makes (I really should switch makes & titles to unicode) |

We had most brain storm here: /vehicle.php?id=135252 /vehicle.php?id=39128 Looks "ZM Łabędy" (without Polish letters) is our conclusive decision. ![]() All 1951-1974 vehicles will use "ZM Łabędy" brand. All 1974+ vehicles (T72 and T91] - "Bumar-Łabędy" brand. It's exactly same factory since 1951, although changed name few times. -- Last edit: 2010-04-07 20:26:07 |
