There was no year listed. I gave a year range, just like you did. The point of comments are to add/improve the data. What if someone else comes later and knows it is a 2003-2004, and admonishes you for incorrect years?  |

Indeed, on this you were a little rude, taxiguy. Ownlman was correct with the years for the generation of the car, even if not as precise as you were. |

This isn't a matter of being more precise… he simply did not give the right model years for the generation at all. 1998-1999 was an entirely different generation, this bodystyle was not introduced until 2000 MY. Cleary he got that year range from the headline of the wikipedia article, but if you read closely you will see it says "Subaru launched the third generation Japanese and world-market Legacy in June 1998, while the North American model started production in late 1999 as a 2000 model." The reason I was "rude" is because this is not the first time owlman has given completely incorrect years for a vehicle. I am nice the first few times about things like this, but nothing bothers me worse than repeat offenders... |

OK, I didn't realize I had given so many wrong years to upset people. I still take issue with your reply, but I apologize for posting the wrong start year here and will certainly check sources more carefully in the future. |

It's ok... I'm just always wary of new users that get information wrong because so many of them are just guessing and don't have the slightest idea what they're talking about.
