How do we know this is an Esprit model? |

I didn't add/identify this particular car, but my guess is that lack of scoop/intake on the hood indicates it's an Esprit. In this ad you can see the Trans Am (left) and Formula (right): -- Last edit: 2010-08-13 07:35:59 |

The base Firebird also lacked hood scoops. In addition what identifies this as a 1973 model versus a 1970-72? -- Last edit: 2010-08-14 05:29:47 |

As I mentioned, I didn't add this car. It was added by MaindrianPace in the forums. He would have to explain how he determined it is a 1973 Pontiac Firebird Esprit. If you go to the page in the first comment, you can see a high resolution vid/screen-cap. You can look and see if you think the grille is egg crate or honeycomb. Maybe he thought it looked like egg crate. You can watch the episode here: Link to "www.hulu.com" (5 min. :10 sec.) Maybe you can see why he thought it's a 1973 Pontiac Firebird Esprit. |
