I think it's a Chevrolet because looking at this picture, you can see how long the trim name badge is on the front fender: /vehicle_278877.html It looks long enough to say "Custom Deluxe" and not "Sierra" (which would be the trim if this was a GMC). Although I will agree with you on the year range.
