1997 Amtran 65 passenger bus on a 3800 series International Harvester chassis, Big tone: I dont know why IH doesnt refer to this chassis as a Navistar unit, But we "the county school district I work for" have the International Harvester name listed as the manufacturer on all the invoices, registrations and titles for over 600 schoolbuses from 1975 thru 2005. In 2006 we bought Freightliners -- Last edit: 2006-04-13 16:26:45 |

That's a 1993 International 3800 with AmTran body. Firebird86, technically they became Navistar around 1984, although many people still called them IH. |

Why 1997? Just because of the movie year? For the record, the movie was filmed between December 1996 and March 1997 anyways. |

Would have been manufactured during the 1997 model year (starts mid year for the US and Canada the previous year) |

1 - 1991? Don't think it's going to be 1981. EDIT: I should have known it was firebird with his random movie-based years... -- Last edit: 2021-01-16 15:32:43 |

Cowl badge should be 1995 per dhill but I don't see the emergency door? |

Not all 1995s have the door. A lot do. If an early built (April was the start of the MY) it may not have one. Can only be a 3800 by this time. The 3700 was discontinued after the 1994 MY. -- Last edit: 2024-01-21 13:23:38 |
