What's [SN-95]? |

4th Generation mustangs are referred to as SN-95s (Both by Ford and Mustang enthusiasts) "For 1994, the Mustang underwent its first major redesign in fifteen years. The design, code named "SN-95" by Ford, was based on an updated version of the Fox platform. It featured dramatic new styling by Patrick Schiavone which incorporated some stylistic elements similar to those of earlier Mustangs." Link to "en.wikipedia.org" |

None of the other ones have it. Unless somebody plans on identifying the different generations with the code, or at least all of the Mustangs from this generation, then it seems rather pointless to have. |

I just put it on there as I didn't see the harm in it (and since I once owned a mustang, I am used to referring to these by their codes.). I notice all the other SN95's I have uploaded for movies had it taken off, so I guess this one will go that way as well. I'll go through and label all the SN95s, if someone wants me too. -- Last edit: 2010-01-27 23:02:57 |

Or you could ask for a batch update, although I still wonder if it is useful or not to have. What do others think? |

I don't know if it is useful or not, SN-95 is Ford's platform code for Fox+4 Mustangs (1994-2004), the same as UN152 is the code for my (and all 02-05) Explorer. But some of these codes seem to vary For Instance the 2005+ Mustang has used the codes S-197, S197, D2C and DC2 |

Oh, I thought it was just specifically for the 1999-2004 Mustangs. Well if that code covers such a large year range, then it does not really seem too useful. |

Yeah, It's probably not all that useful. Like I was saying, I was really just adding it for the sake of having as much info added per car. Honestly, I think the box for the internal/body code on here is sort of a gray area (In my opinion anyways). And yeah, it's not like BMWs or such, where they have relatively short span. The cars design was refreshed in 1999, But it kept the SN-95 code. |

I understand boogieman. I just asked as I thought it was a valid point to have discussed And yes, I share your opinion on that box too. -- Last edit: 2010-01-28 20:05:55 |
