Not Rappold... coachwork looks molto italiano to me. |

Si, naturalmente! Una Mercedes-Benz W123 Diesel carrozzata Pilato Autotrasformazioni. |

Looks more like a Dario Casale to me. Every reference I've seen to a Pilato hearse has the cross mounted forward on the roof above the driver, while every reference to a Dario Casale hearse I've seen shows the cross mounted in the back of the roof, centered above the casket compartment. The B-pillar also looks more like Dario Casale. But, I also think there is some relation between the two companies. I could be way off here though... Animatronixx, enlighten us! ![]() Pilato reference: http://www.pilato-spa.it/story.aspx Dario Casale reference: http://mitglied.multimania.de/albeyer/id27.htm (mid-way down the page) -- Last edit: 2010-02-09 23:43:51 |

I already enlighted you. ![]() The relationship between both coachbuilders emerged just after Mr. Dario Ezio Casale had passed away and his old friend Luigi Pilato acquired the company, so every Casale hearse built after 2002 was in fact done by Pilato. |
