Vauxhall Carlton (Mk II) |

Plate is registered to a Ford Dorchester Hearse. This is based on Vauxhall Carlton (or maybe a Senator?), but notice that badge, isn't this an Eagle? |

Yes, it's an (US-style) Eagle, not the Vauxhall-Logo. The front had probably a crash in the past, if you see the front left edge. |

So it's an Eagle Quest, converted by Eagle Specialist Vehicles: http://mitglied.multimania.de/albeyer/id24.htm (Scroll down the right hand frame.) -- Last edit: 2010-01-11 20:00:37 |

... to which it has been transferred from this rather elderly Carlton, presumably. |

Correct, Eagle Quest, 1st series and thus based on the Vauxhall Carlton 1986 onwards. Senators of the 1st generation weren't coachbuilt by Eagle Specialist Vehicles. The aforementioned Dorchester isn't a hearse, but a LWB limousine (= follow car). |
