Has to be a Caprice as the last year for the Impala was 1985 and this is a 1987- model. |

1990 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1. It was part of the NYPD's fleet and was brand-new when the film was in production in the fall of 1990. It reportedly had yet to have undercover dash and grille lights installed. The sequence of Steven Seagal breaking it in, chasing down Bill Forsythe's Lincoln Towncar never gets old! |

1990 models have a door mounted seat belt. it was a requirement that all passenger cars (trucks were excluded for whatever reason) for 1990 have either an air bag or passive restraint system. As such it is correctly labeled as a 87-89 model. |
