Sorry I have to change the "theme" of this pic. I thought, that I have 2 differnet pics for both cars, but I dont'. Since the yellow taxi is a bit involved in action this page will be for it. Plymouth? |

I think this is more likely 1965 Ford, perhaps Custom. |

For the Plymouth, it is a 1964 and looks to have enough trim to be a Fury. |

I always get a kick out of this scene. Does the cabbie know he is cutting off Steve McQueen in the middle of a chase??? -- Last edit: 2010-01-08 17:11:33 |

With these headlights, it's either a 1965 or 1966. |

The taxi is a Ford, the first car on the hill is a Plymouth. |

Sorry to all, definitely the taxi is a 66 Ford Galaxie Custom not a 65 model. The 65 has a different front grill and head-lights. You can see the front of the Ford better a second before this scene. I have verified it over oldscarsbrochures. -- Last edit: 2012-02-12 18:53:45 |

^In this case, I think you're correct. The bodyside ridge on the '65 extended all the way to the rear fender. |
