1995. Some sources count it as Mk V. |

MkV literally, but why are they listed as MkIII on this website? /vehicles.php?make=Ford&model=Transit&page=26 |

We have to tidy up this some day. |

I think the 1995+ Transit is just a restyling of the 1986 MkIII not a really change of series |

I think the 1995 deserves to be count as a new/different generation (which I would call Mk IV), but for some reasons, Wikipedia for example, use Mk IV to describe the 1991-1994 model. Since 1990 Escort less or more had the same body with rather minor changes in design, but every modification we count as a new generation. Same with Mondeos - Mk II after the 1996 face lift (personally I find the last two examples debatable). -- Last edit: 2010-01-04 16:20:47 |

1990 Escort and 1993 Escort are both MkV because change only the grille and the taillights. MkVI cames in 1995 but the shape was a bit different -- Last edit: 2010-01-04 16:53:17 |

It's a 1994+ MkV [VE83] as opposed to the 1986-91-94 MkIII/IV [VE6/VE64]. -- Last edit: 2010-01-18 18:02:33 |

I work in a car spareparts business and I can tell that Transits and Escorts are a nightmare. |
