Or it could be the Commanche pickup(MJ?). Has large towing side mirror which are usually seen on pickups. I don't know if that was every available from the factory on the Cherokee. Or on the Commanche either. |

Good point, jettalover. I did a Google search and did find two (after searching 5 pages) with mirrors like this. Link to "image.4wheeloffroad.com" I'm not sure if the Cherokee or Wagoneer ever came with these mirrors. They could have been an option from either the dealer or factory as they kind of look like the ones used on the full size J-series truck. I'm going to change the model name to unknown for now. Link to "www.cargurus.com" Matty, could you tell us why you think this is a 1991 versus an older model? |

I think an aluminium sidestep like that is more at home on an SUV rather than on a small pickup truck like the Comanche. |

Not really... I think the steps are quite common on either SUV or truck. |

What details led this from being changed from Unknown to Commanche? |

I'm not sure, jettalover. I still don't think there is much proof either way with the exception of the mirrors... I've only seen them in pictures on the Commanche but I'm still far from 100% sure that they were never used on a Cherokee. I am also confused about the arbitrary, IMO, choice of making the model year a 1991. -- Last edit: 2009-12-31 01:31:30 |

If it's a Comanche, then it's a [MJ]. |

Comanche with a shell on it. You can see the CO of the Comanche badge if you look closely. -- Last edit: 2024-01-01 16:44:26 |
