i'm not the pontiac guru for certain, though my parents had GTOs when i was a kid, and i had a couple of mid-60s pontiacs of my own when i first started driving in the late 80s... "1964 Pontiac Lemans GTO" perhaps? (GTO being listed a an option package on the lemans for the 1st year rather than an individual model if memory serves). definately not a 1968 in any case. |

1964. Technically LeMans wasn't a separate model until 1965, so the correct name would be Pontiac Tempest LeMans. Pontiac GTOs that year were called Pontiac Tempest LeMans GTO...a mouthful, I know. |
