Appears to be a 1989-1994 Mazda Protege, but they never sold a wagon version of this vehicle in North America that I'm aware of. Is it possible it's an optical illusion? |

Yes, you can see where the roof ends through the rear door window. -- Last edit: 2009-12-22 11:10:58 |

This is a 1995-98 Mazda Protege. The shape of the rear windows were different for the earlier models. |

I stand by my earlier statement. The door handles and the cut of the door are right for an older model. |

Actually, the door handles do not match the 1990-94 Protege. The only part that was black on the DX models (LX and EX models had body-colored handles) was the handle itself. The 1995 model was when they put the handle in a black plastic insert that fit into the groove of the door (for all models). The 1990-94 models also had two windows on each rear door, a square one and a small triangular one, like here: /vehicle_346197-Mazda-Protege-BF-1992.html The 1995-98 models had a one piece window, like here: /vehicle_146052-Mazda-Protege-1995.html The bodyside moulding on the 1990-94 models were inset a groove in the body. On the 1995-98 models, it sat on the body surface. |

Based on night cub's two examples it's not a Protege. -- Last edit: 2011-03-11 05:42:58 |

One star obviously. |
