58Roadmaster ◊ 2009-12-18 06:52	This is the other form of rear end than the "bustle back," in which the trunk area is more square and apparent. depending on the series, the possibile identities are Special Phaeton [40C]; the Super Phaeton [50C]; Roadmaster Phaeton [70C]; and Limited Phaeton [80C].
pilou ◊ 2009-12-18 09:48	First , there was no Convertible Phaeton in the Limited series. As far as I can judge from the wheelbase I am also tempted to exclude the Roadmaster ( 133 inches) .Concerning the Century ( 126 inches) is ,only 11 of the few 208 of this model built were exported so I would go for a 1938 Buick Special Convertible Phaeton model 40 C 5 passenger Phaeton of which 776 were produced and 170 exported. There was NO Super series in 1938 , the Super series was introduced in 1940 .The 1938 series were the Limited (90), Roadmaster ( 80), Century ( 60) and Special ( 40).This one has the accessory sidemounts.
