Sorry, but the bus in the photo is not a Yellow Model 740 - it is a Yellow Model 718 and among the first group of buses to operate for New York City Omnibus in Manhattan in 1935. The difference between a 740 and a 718 (among other things) is that the passenger doors protrude above the top of the window line as noted in the photo in my article; http://www.cptdb.ca/index.php?showtopic=9792 In this case the fleet # '49' in your image would tell you it's a 718 without doubt (if you're familiar with NYCO fleet numbers.
