Its a UK built Dodge 50 series (or more likely a face-lifted Renault-Dodge. I believe I can see the Renault (diamond shaped) badge on the front.

Confirmation required.

I can see Renault badge to. It's a later model so would be Renault 50 Series rather than Dodge

I'm happy with Renault since there's no Dodge badging visible.

Facelift could be after any Dodge badging was removed.

Country of origin UK. Originally Dodge based no equivalent model from France.

So rare... :(

Not so rare in the past, certainly in the UK. Although many have been scrapped there are still examples in daily use.

Used by many utility companies and as the basis for small commuter buses.

Dodge Trucks / Karrier Motors 50 Series Mk.1 1979-1987
GVW S35 3500kg, S46 4600kg, S66 6600kg, S75 7500kg.

Renault Trucks 50 Series Mk.2 1987-1993.
GVW S46 4600kg, S56 5600kg, S66 6600kg, S75 7500kg.

For the year 1986 only the 50 Series Mk.1 vehicles carried both 'Dodge' name and 'Renault' badging so branded 'Dodge-Renault' as here http://www.renaultoloog.nl/trucks-english.htm

There used to be a small workshop in Richmond (south-west London) that built special purpose bodies on the Renault 50 Series. Richmond council might still have some in its fleet.

All chassis/cab built at the Dunstable plant?
