Ape 50 MP,90's restyling(slant down edge-shaped door windows,for better driving visibility;before,glasses were trapeze-shaped);the modification with 2 headlights was added just into '90s(the Ape 50 MP was born around '68-'69,and basic model don't own doors,at beginning of production,'cause were upon request of customer,showing a single cyclops-squared headlight,at centre of front shield;for some export markets--like Switzerland--was produced,into'70s,also with 250cc.engine,oil-mixture-fueled as Ape 50,called Ape 250 MP);a particular sporty-look version of it,the Ape 50 Cross(a sort of 3-wheeeled,US-look-pick-up),shown a tubular rollbar,that would embrace cab's back panel,sides,and back light groups was released in 1995,as limited series(two basick bodies,dropside pick-up--as shown in photo--and van--with twin splitted--a piece lift up,the other tilt down,such a dropside).Still in production today. |

When had said 90s model don't intend of 1990 model-year;I intended launched that version with two headlights into Nineties(the year must be 1996,however,just when were celebrated also the early 40 years of Vespa,1946-1996) |

This shot is in Barcelona (Plaza Real). Were these Piaggios made in Spain as well? And were there any differences with the Italian models? |
