What makes everybody so sure that this is a 1983? The movie takes place in 1981, and if it was a 1983, that would mean it is an "S" model. The "S" model came standard with front and rear spoilers...which this car doesn't have. They could've removed the spoilers...but it would have been easier and cheaper to use an older model. |

Even though the movie action is located in 1981, I think the selection of cars is not very accurately. They could have matched either way in the late seventies or the early eighties anyway. I think they match perfectly ok. |

@ HonchoRyanC: the "small" 928 4.5L this one has the small Wheels (15'') and no spoiler in front and back, the "S" had 16'' wheels and the spoilers... The 928 was built from '76-'82, the 928S from '79-'86 |
