Anyone else notice how busted-up this 928 looks in this top photo? Notice the foglamp is mising, and the air-dam seemed warped as does the hood. Obviously a junker 928 used for this drowning scene. Amazing sounding car. Man does it howl! |

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the sounds eminating from the Porsche 928 in this movie were overdubbed, and are from a V8-engined Ferrari. A 928 does NOT sound like this. As you can probably tell, I'm still a huge 928 fan, and wish it did sound like that!! ![]() |

I always remebered it being silver, but upon my recent viewing, I noticed it looks more gold/champagne-colored in the daylight. ![]() |

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086200/trivia http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086200/board/thread/15383370 a message by nwmoviefan (Tue Oct 30 2007 10:32:10) provided this link www.928registry.org An abridged quotation of the article at http://www.928registry.org/Risky-Business-928-Excellence.htm: http://www.rb928.com/ So, I guess it would be best to label this as a 1981 model. But based on the main image it is a 1979, so maybe it would be better to omit the year and list it just as "Porsche 928". -- Last edit: 2008-03-08 20:07:52 |
