... i'm not sure where to put this comment, or even which way to list these is ultimately most "correct", but the (16) Titan Pick-Ups are listed as USA origin, while the (15) Armadas and (2) Pathfinder Armadas are listed as Japanese origin built in the USA, and the (4) Infiniti QX56 are (all but one) just listed as Japanese origin. all 3 are only built in the USA... though probably at least in the strictest sense they are of Japanese origin. in any case (if it's not insanely complicated to accomplish it), all three models should probably be listed in a uniform manner. |

As far as I know, the Titan and Armada’s design origin is primarily in Japan. Both are built on Nissan’s F-Alpha platform. They are both assembled in the US. The newest members to use the F-Alpha platform are, the all-new 2010 Nissan Patrol and upcoming 2011 Infiniti QX56 (the QX56 will now be based on the Patrol, moving away from the Armada) The Patrol will not be sold here in the US, but the QX will. so the Armadas/Pathfinder Armadas are listed correctly but... 1.) the Titans should be changed to Japanese origin, built in the USA/for the USA..? and 2.) the QX56s should remain Japanese origin, but have the made in the USA/for the USA added..? this does seem right to me too... |

I've read on several pages that the Titan was mainly designed in California ...apart from the engine/tranny. Even if the platform is Japanese, there is a case to be made for saying that the model origin is USA. (i don't really know anything about the other models) |

Difficult to say whether to list them as Japan or U.S. origin. If they were mostly designed here in the U.S. (not just in cosmetic appearance) then I would lean toward U.S. origin. The outgoing Toyota Tundra and Sequoia were both designed here in the U.S. (the vast majority of the design work was done on U.S. soil, under Japanese supervision) |

This cannot be an SE. All SE & LE have chrome door handles standard. This is the base model XE. |
