The ambulance is based on a Ford E-series (I'd guess E-250, but it could be an E-150). |

1992/Current Ford Econoline E-350. I believe Ford discontinued allowing the use of the E- 250 chassis for ambulance applications in 1996. |

Assuming that the producers shipped over Japanese cars, it's odd that they didn't think of getting a Japanese ambulance. |

1995-2001 with those taillights. Bits of the van can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvEW7Ci5sjs&feature=related (skip ahead to 10:18.) |

The possible year range is 1995-2002 but as a general rule when we can't tell the proper model name (Econoline or E-Series) we leave the year range blank. |

Well, movies are usually filmed during the year before they premiere, so a 2002 model in early to mid 2001 (Movie premiere was Feb. 2, 2002) didn't make sense at the time. |

It is entirely possible that an early 2002 model appear in a movie made in 2001. (I have a 2002 Econoline with a build date of May 2001) |

After looking at this ambulance and the scenes were it was featured, I can see that the mirrors are on the thin base and that the bumpers are the 1995+ ones so this is a 1995-1997 Econoline [E-350]. -- Last edit: 2013-06-29 06:21:45 |
