Hmm, I am not sure what trim level, I have to check the book. At least it is 1979 Chevrolet Nova for now... |

Oh. I'm sorry. I thought it was a 1975-78 with a Concours trim style. I did not know that it was a 79 |

After checking with Tad Burness' American Car Spotter's Bible 1940-1980, I found one match to 1979 Chevrolet Nova Custom. |

My Burness shows both the '77 and '78's used this grille. In 1977 it was called the "Nova Concours" and in '78, "Nova Custom". Side trim and wheel covers seem to more closely resemble the 1977, so would go with that year. (My Burness shows the '79's with an all horizontal bar grille) But hold the presses! The '77 shows a hood ornament while the '78 and '79 does not. (Could the hood ornament have been removed for police use?) -- Last edit: 2009-11-14 16:09:32 |

This one has fine horizontal grille that you can see it, if you look at it closely. This one has rectangle headlights that makes it 1979 version only.... |
