:hello: Man! There are soooo many International Transtars in this movie! What year is this one? It looks a little different then the rest of the Transtars. And where the heck do you guys get all the names of the trucks from!

This one was sent as a "Transtar", where all the others seem to be "Transtar II". So I guess it is an older model.

There really isn't much of a difference in the Transtar I and II models. International also made long-nose cabs bearing the name transtar.

The truck pictured here might be a transtar II

I thought it was looking more "round", maybe this is just due to the color

What's difference between International Transtar and International Harvester Transtar? Or when "Harvester" was dropped?

These makes are quite difficult to track...
Now the company is CNH (Case New Holland), and has the following makes:
Case IH (farming), Case (construction), New Holland (farming & construction), Steyr (farming).
International Harvester Corp. (IHC) is the result of the merging of McCormick Harvesting Machine Co. and Deering Harvester Co. in 1902.
Now the International brand is used on trucks made by Navistar International Co., since 1986. I suppose that they dropped "Harvester" name at that time, but I am not sure at all.
And I do not know if there is still a link between Navistar International and CNH...
On Wikipedia these is not so much info, it would be nice to have a full time line and history of the various makes of this group.

It appears that 'Harvester' was dropped in about 1985 when the agricultural business was sold to Tenneco and 'International Harvester' was used with their Case brand becoming 'Case IH'.

The 'International' brand name was then used by Navistar for trucks because they could not use the 'IH' logo. As a result in 1986 the 'Navistar International Corporation' was therefore created.

These are the best facts I can determine. If anyone can add to or correct this please let us know.

Looks more like IH CO4000 from 1967.

it's a '73 and also the truck is hauling the trailer that is hauled by the '76 brockway 400, thus truck & Trailer explode at then end with the dixie boy truck stop

International 4000, made from 1965 until 1968. 4070 was made from 1969 until 1974. 4070 B was made from 1975 until 1980

This is not a Transtar II its is just a Transtar. The Transtar (like this one) the model was 4070A and the Transtar II was the 4070B. The difference is that the 4070A has round headlights (like this one) anmd the 4070B has round headlights but in a square case.

Not a Transtar II, it's a CO-4000.

As said several times since 2007, it's a 1965-68 CO-4000. See here for the differences.

the company of this International seems like Western Carolina or something like that.
