An asphalt-layer (?). Accidentally squishes Kermit's bicycle between itself and a steamroller (he jumps clear in time). |

That is indeed an asphalt paver. It is either a Barber-Greene or a Blaw-Knox. If the color is rendering correctly, I'd say a Blaw-Knox. Model, unknown. However, the next photo, which is a side view of the paver hopper, with the reflector...looks very orange. It may have been re-painted a bright color for safetly reasons. These things had a habit of getting hit by traffic. I need a better side view. I used to work for Barber-Greene. -- Last edit: 2009-10-20 20:12:24 |

I'd need to rewatch the film but I'm pretty certain this is the only really good view we get of it. |

MIS - ID this looks like a Barber-Greene SB 140 !! rather than Blow-Know notice the triangular shape above the bucket and also the 2 control panels who have different shape and perfectly match the ones in main pic the triangle on the right side (left in pic) has a slight bump near the middle !!! so another vital clue which fits) also the twin exaust position http://www.purplewave.com/cgi-bin/mnlist.cgi?140515/AN9084/9 model origin USA -- Last edit: 2014-07-09 00:05:36 |

more evidence here, if it's same paver it looks like it it was originally GREEN repainted which leaves absolutely no doubts this IS a Barber Greene !!! /vehicle_250965-Rex.html and looks like we finally have one on IMCDB only question how to list it "Barber Greene" or Barber-Greene" SB 140 about this company http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barber_Greene -- Last edit: 2014-07-09 00:05:46 |
