HMMWV or Hummer? Looks like they taped a military plate over a civilian one... |

probably a Hummer H1 |

The one thing that puzzles me, is it appears to have a solid front axle, neither the military or civilian versions had solid anything, they are 4-wheel independent. I suspect a kit project ... |

I have searched around a bit and the Swedish military have only bought one HMMWV for testing, we have it here: /vehicle_144581-AM-General-HMMWV.html So this one is atleast not owned or used by the Swedish military. |

I'm fairly sure it's a Hummer and that it's the lesser-known 2-door pickup truck version. But I'm not 100% sure. If it is the military version then it would have to be the M998 Cargo/Troop Carrier. |

The rest of you seem convinced but it looks more like some kind of kit car than a real Hummer to me. |

British Action Automotive makes a kit car Hummer by the name Storm Warrior, based on 1981 - 85 Range Rover or pre-1998 Discovery. http://www.carstunts.co.uk/stormwarrior/ But this looks different, Jeep based? |

Could it be a Bummer kit? /vehicle.php?id=82336 |

Yes you are quite right. It is not a hummer it is probably a Jeep Wrangler with a bodykit |

Whatever it is it is styled to look like an H1 but it isn't a Hummer at all. It is way to small (not much wider than the Lexus next to it) Based on it's size I would say that it is based on a Jeep, I have seen a few different kits to make your Jeep look like a "baby Hummer" -- Last edit: 2009-10-17 17:55:52 |

That is a kit designed to appear as a Humvee. Several companies make them, you can get a kit that mounts on a Chevy Suburban frame but this one pictured appears smaller. |

I will list this as "Am General HMMWV M998 Cargo/Troop Carrier Replica" |

I think I have found it! http://svammelsurium.blogg.se/2010/september/septembersol-pa-naas.html http://svammelsurium.blogg.se/images/2010/20100906ns28_108106123.jpg That one is based on a 1978 Range Rover and the body seems to have been built in the Philippines. |
