That's no Diplomat. It's a more upscale version of the M-body, perhaps a Fifth Avenue? Any thoughts? |

No ford guy is right that is not a Dodge Diplomat at all! I think its a 1981 chrysler Lebaron these cars were buit on the M body platform and acted as the luxury model for the M body platform (same platform as diplomat and gran fury). These cars were also used as police cars but only for about 1 or 2 years during the early 80's They were used to replace the F body aspen and volare while the Diplomat and Grand Fury replaced the R body platform (st regis newport etc). Trust me that is no Dodge Diplomat!, however it is built on the same frame..... the "M" Body |
