Both are 2003+ models. |

Front one is a 2003-2004 the rear one is a 2005+ |

What's the difference between the two? |

nothing, really. But 03-04 vans had "express" emblems on the front doors as well as the left rear cargo door, and "Chevrolet" emblem on the right rear cargo door. In 05 the emblems were removed from the front doors and only the left rear door had an "express" emblem on it. |

I've never seen those emblems before. As far as I know, all they've ever had on the door has been the numbering, such as "2500" or "3500." |

I really screwed that post up, I edited it twice because it didn't make sense and during the process posted the wrong part of my post. Here let me explain it like this: 2003-2006 G/H Van Emblems: Grille, "Bowtie" or GMC Door, Front L/R, 1500, 2500 or 3500 (with either "bowtie" or GMC) Door, Rear Cargo L EXPRESS (w/"bowtie") or SAVANA Door, Rear Cargo R, CHEVROLET or GMC 2007+ G/H Van Emblems: Grille, "Bowtie" or GMC Door, Rear Cargo L EXPRESS (w/"bowtie") or SAVANA Door, Rear Cargo R GMC (GMC Savana models only) make sense ? -- Last edit: 2012-01-18 19:39:45 |

So you're saying that there's nothing on the doors whatsoever (In reference to the numbers)? Just trying to clear it up... -- Last edit: 2009-09-18 05:19:26 |

exactly (unless optioned with the diesel engine, then a "Duramax" emblem is placed on the front doors) http://www.chevrolet.com/vehicles/2009/express/gallery.do -- Last edit: 2009-09-18 05:23:39 |

But if you can't see the door of the one in the front, how can you narrow it down to a 2003-2004 then? And I've seen some newer models that have the badging on the doors: http://www.webbuyauto.com/details.php?id=538 |

It was recently brought to my attention how confusing I made this. What I was trying to say with all of that Junk up there was that in 2006 (2007 model year) General Motors removed the emblems on the front doors. They also removed the Chevrolet emblem from the rear of the van. This left one emblem (Express) on the rear of the van. Like this one: http://dealerrevs.com/gallery/14775456.html I am sorry for the confusion. (I would have deleted my previous posts but I didn't want it to look like ford guy was talking to himself ) |

No worries my friend So I suppose the front one would be a 2003-2006 model as it still has both emblems and the one to the rear is possible a 2007 model? And for future reference it's usually easier to simply say the model year for the change instead of the actual year for which it happened. I think most people would find that easier |
