Well, yes... the original Ghostbusters' ambulance was indeed a Miller-Meteor Futura resp. Sentinel. The one we can see above is the most accurate ECTO-1 clone to be known in the UK and it started out as S&S Park Row limousine ambulance or funeral coach. Looking at it again, I think they just painted that part of the D-pillar black and added some chrome trim rather than making the ridiculous effort of reinforcing the roof and creating a quarter window incl. frame. [BTW: Just restored the pic and slightly updated my comment from 2009] |
