In fact, if that is a "Continental" nameplate on the RR reflector (behind the lady) it is a 1980 specifically.
(In 1981, the "Continental" name was dropped from this body and replaced with "Town Car" which I believe was written on the edge of the trunk lid, if memory serves)

I always liked the 80-89 Lincolns, especially the early 80's Town Coupes and Mark VI's. Those are really rare now days. I'm glad Lincoln still continue to make traditional big cars.

Yes.
In my opinion, the Lincoln Town Car now stands alone as the last truly American-looking "classic" still being made.

I dunno what GM and Chrysler are playing at these days. They need to take a leaf out of FoMoCo's book. FoMoCo makes the majority of it's sales on it's "big" vehicles, fuel prices be damned. :D
