Not exactly ! Look at the roof line, the trunk and the tail lights' shape, it's a 2-door coupe, not a liftback. And during the T200 era, the 2-door coupe was called Curren, not Celica. However it wasn't available in GT-Four trim. I bet this is a fantasy mashup, like the "Sileighty" from the same anime series. |

It's not a fantasy mashup. It's a 2-door coupe OBVIOUSLY called the "Celica", there were NO Curren 2-door coupes in the T200 era of Toyota history. |

See for yourself : http://www.carsensor.net/catalog/toyota/curren/F001/ This is a Curren body with all the Celica GT-Four trimmings. And it is a mashup because Toyota never made that in real life. |

You're basing this off of how they drew the car. It's just weirdly drawn. It's obviously a ST205. They even make mention of the fact that's it's 4-wheel drive. |

There is a Curren. And people have swapped the Curren front end onto Celicas. However, not the other way around (As far as I know at least), like this guy is suggesting. And it would be very odd since the whole thing is that Takumai isn't supposed to catch up because the other guy's car is 4-wheel drive (Curren is front wheel drive). It's a Celica GT-Four (ST205). -- Last edit: 2017-04-28 07:08:08 |

It's weirdly drawn, but not only they stumble upon the exact C-pillar shape of the 2-door Curren coupe, it's also got the Curren's rear lights ! Amazing coincidence. http://www.wald-licht.com/~oldcar/94_t_curren_01.html |

1994-98 Curren. |

Umm... why is this car listed as a Curren now? The manga and games depict the car as a Celica GT-Four. Miki even mentions the car having four-wheel-drive, while the Curren was only available with front-wheel-drive. -- Last edit: 2024-04-18 08:38:30 |

Perhaps still unchanged because no one refuted Exiv96's argument? I have no... beef one way or the other as I have no idea who's right but I will say that the only thing important for id's is the car actually shown on the main picture on the car's page. Not what they based it on, if in the manga or another movie or game was such and such or how they describe it in the script etc. |

It's weird... The front is definitely a Celica GT FOUR, but the rear is consistent with a Curren. For reference, from my Platesmania album: Celica https://platesmania.com/jp/nomer20360376 Curren Chan https://platesmania.com/jp/nomer19672178 Listing this as a Curren with a Celica GT-FOUR front for now. EDIT: OK maybe the tail light is a bit *off* from a Curren, but it's also not a good match for the Celica... :/ -- Last edit: 2024-04-22 08:13:24 |
