Yes, 1953/54 (no difference except on the front). But I guess it is rather a Champion, not a Commander: there seem to be 8 characters on the rear badge, not 9... The pillared coupe was called Starlight. |

Disagree. That trunk bar reads "Studebaker" not "Commander". This is a Champion Regal (note side window chrome). Emblem is a star with the "S" over it = Champion. Also, Commanders had a scripted "Commander" on the right side of the trunk lid and same is not present in the photo. Two other ways to tell this is a '53: In '54 the "Studebaker" name was raised to the level of the trunk lock and the horzontal bars over the taillamps were eliminated. -- Last edit: 2013-08-01 05:14:17 |
