I'd say 1984+ because of lack of chrome trim on wheel wells. On 2106 Ladas, 1982 marked the beginning of heavy cutting down production costs, so: 1982 - optional black plastic headlight housings; 1984 - chrome on wheel wells dropped, side trim got black plastic mountings; 1985 - vents on the C-pillar came from 2105 model; 1986 - no more chromed headlight housings; 1986-87 - reflective units on rear fenders dropped; 1987 - side marker lamps inside front doors replaced by reflective units; 1988-89 - chrome plating of rain gutters dropped; ca. 1990 - hubcaps from discontinued 2103 model became standard; 1992-93 - a limited number of 'trimless' cars was released, lacking the entire side trim; 1990 - plastic hubcaps appeared instead of chrome ones; ca. 1995 - the original two-spoked steering wheel was replaced with the one from 2107 model; ca. 2001 - chrome plating on grille cancelled, and so on. -- Last edit: 2024-03-17 21:07:57 |
