And another Hillman Minx Phase VIII behind it. Seems to be a Californian (hardtop coupe). |

Moves rather swiftly, "They drive you at such a speed to your grave these days." |

Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith [LELW21]?? |

The position of the radiator on the centre line of the front axle suggests that this car is either a 20/25 or a 25/30. About 5,000 of these two chassis were built between 1930 and 1938, the Wraith, (not Silver) was only built in the 1939 model year, and only 491 chassis left Derby. The Silver Wraith was introduced in 1946 and had a much further forward radiator position, to take advantage of independent front suspension and give more room inside. There is a possibility that this is a Phantom II, but it doesn't look big enough compared with the Hillman. |

I think this is a Woodall Nicholson body. |

The body looks much more like Alpe and Saunders to me, than Woodall Nicholson. W-N made very few combination hearses, A-S quite a lot of them. My money is on 25/30 here. |

I'm siding with junkman on this one. Looking at it compared to a photo of a 1933 Phantom II Alpe & Saunders hearse (chassis 27MW) that The Real Car Co Ltd. sold in 2000, I think it's too short to be a Phantom, and the body lines look very much alike. http://www.realcar.co.uk/cars_s844.jpg |
