These were actually available with a Diesel engine. Finding one of those in good condition is very rare. Most came with the venerable 302cid 5.0 liter V-8 either carbureted uptil 1982 or single point fuel injection from 83 to 85 from 86 to 87 these had the mpfi 5.0. The Diesel is the most interesting, in that it came from BMW. It was the 2.4 liter inline 6 Diesel, that had a tough time hauling the big Lincoln around. Not many were sold that way. This engine was also briefly available in the Mark V11. |
