The hood side emblem differs from 1940 pickup in being rectangular with the word Ford recessed into it, whereas the 1940 had the Ford script there but with no rectangular base. The hood ornament also looks consistent with the '41 being much wider compared to the '40 pickup but this shot doesn't clearly show this very well. The only differences on the outside of a '40 and '41 is the hoodside emblems, hood ornament and lower front hood trim, the '41 having larger, fatter pieces in all cases.
