This is the episode where Aunt Bee buys this car and learns to drive. From here on out this is her car.

Even though you can see the Fordomatic emblem on the trunk, she drives it like it has a standard transmission.

We saw a lot more of this one during the show's final season, including this rare shot of the car with its top up:

...and a taillight shot from ep. 6.21.

Aunt Bee bought this car from Goober. He was also the one who taught her to drive.

In the first episode where it appears, Aunt Bee has a fender bender. In a later episode where she is driving Opie to a friend's house for a play date, the fender damage is still evident. It's on the passenger side, rear.

It is believed, in this scene, the actress Francis Bavier (Aunt Bee) is not the driver, but a stunt driver. This is probably the reason for the elaborate head gear. George Lindsey (Goober) is the passenger.

When she damages the fender, she even mentions not stepping on the clutch

Is this car still around? If so who owns it?
