I know it's a bit small, but i'm curious, what's the taxi we can se entirely? |

I think it might be a SAIPA Saba from Iran (saloon version of the Kia Pride). http://www.saipacorp.com/en/saba/default.asp |

Would it be worth adding? |

As we do not have much of such cars, maybe |

The Saipa Saba taxi is the most common taxi you can find in Syria. |

Do you can find in Syria also interesting junkyards with old cars? I've heard rumours, that there shall be a big yard outside of Damascus. |

I'm sure there are junkyards with old cars outside of Damascus although I never had the chance to see one yet. |

If you would have a chance to visit one, I would be very pleased, if you could look, if something for me would be there. I guess, you know, what I'm interested in... |

Next you'll be looking for K 70s in Iraq. -- Last edit: 2009-03-29 15:45:56 |

Indeed, there shall have been one a few there. Perhaps sometimes I can find out more later on. This is the part of my hobby, I like very much, to find K 70 all over the world. So I have contacts to the owner of one of two running K 70 in the Iran, the owner of the last existing car in Costa Rica, the owner of the only ever exported K 70 to Chile, and a few more. |

I assume you would be interested in finding old Mercedes such as ones from the W115 and W123 series, right? |

No, sorry, you have the wrong idea. My interest is the VW K 70. |

Oh oops! Well Syria does have VW cars but I don't think there are K 70 cars since I have never seen one there. But maybe a few may have been imported but are very rare. |
