Packard. The overriders look like this one http://www.metroccca.org/05_Metro_BlkFrst%20(10)red.jpg so its probably 1937. Can't tell if its a roadster or phaeton.

No other view, unfortunately

Thats a shame. Its a beautiful car. I guess movie makers don't realize that we are more interested in the car than people and horses.

Or more interested in the cars than in the movie itself ;)

On the other hand, when adding pics on the site I am often quite surprised to be able to have a really good view from one of the front corner of the car (i.e. when you see front and side at the same time) for most of the cars. For recent movies I guess that it is due to product placements: the car must be well visible.

I think you are correct about product placement for recent movies. If it gives a better view of a rare car, I'm all for it.

Unfortunately these product placements are usually for "common" cars and mostly in recent movies.

I think youre right Wrenchhead, '36/39. Overiders throw me off though, they werent on all the 37 converts, maybe an option. The 35 looks like it too, but they didnt have the reflectors in the front bumper, see link http://www.carnut.com/cgi-bin/04/image.pl?/show/04/lou/nat008.jpg

It can be difficult sometimes to distinguish between the late 1930's Packards.

I think there are ventilation doors on hood side (visible on 2nd picture). So, my guess is a 1935 (12th series) Super Eight with wrong (1936-37) front bumper...
