The side molding spear is causing the confusion here, as none was installed on the Fleetwood series; howver, many people added these after-market rubber moldings to protect their cars from chips and dents by other vehicles opening their doors in tight parking situations. On this car, you can see also that the side molding is installed a couple of inches higher than it would be on the De Ville and Calais series models.
