The car in the thumbnail looks like a Midget because of its size and the chrome strip which (I think) was fitted to the MK I. There is also a turn signal repeater fitted to the rear wing which would mean a US export model. The car in the main picture looks like an MGB, it's larger and might have a hardtop rather than a soft top. But both types would have had chrome side strips and repeaters. Someone younger and with better eyesight is needed! |

First car is an 1973 MGB tourer. Why 1973? Colour looks like "Harvest Gold", introduced for MY'72, and MG made the most NA LHD MGB's in MY'73. For MY'74 the infamous "Sabrina"-overriders where introduced. The hardtop looks like a "Snugtop": http://www.mgnuts.com/hardtops/tn_snugtopmgb.jpg The second car is a Midget Mk2 because it looks like it has wind-down windows. The Mk1 had sliding windows. |
