Looks like the Diamond Reo C114D from around 1970. Link to "www.truckpaper.com" |

It's either the diamond on the side of the nose or the square on the grill. I'm guessing the diamond on the side, because that seems more conventional for a company called Diamond Reo. |

I mean the logo printed on the Fruehauf trailer that the Diamond Reo is Hauling. It sez 15...something, but i can`t figure out what company it is. Sure it could be a just a fictious logo, but hey... |
explorer4x4 ◊ 2006-05-03 09:27 |
Well, I am not quite sure what company trailer that the Diamond-Reo is pulling but it says either "TS" or "T2", does anyone know any company's by that name? |

May be it`s supposed to be a cigarette brand. On the back of the truck it says JOB. |

What does this truck do? |
◊ 2006-06-08 00:31 |
Nothing special, it is only seen few times I think |
explorer4x4 ◊ 2006-06-08 14:40 |
Only a few times! It is seen from when all the trucks start and it is one of a handful that are seen leaving the Dixie Boy at the end! I wonder if they kept it... |

This one is probably one of those that where supposed to be "de-poed". When it starts, it stands among some other trucks thats in bad shape(Ford LN, White Freigtliner, GMC...). |
Rhino ◊ 2007-01-22 02:00 |
it's actually a 1973 i asked Stephen King |
◊ 2007-01-22 06:17 |
Why should we believe you? |
◊ 2007-01-22 22:49 |
And anyway I doubt that S.K. would remember (or even know) the model-year of a truck that had a very minor role in the movie... -- Last edit: 2007-01-22 22:50:21 |
Rhino ◊ 2007-02-07 00:01 |

It's a 1970 Diamond Reo C-1114 D, the truck was seen leaving the dixie boy truck when the truck stop blew up, The Truck belonged to Death Valley,CA Truck Rentals were it retured after filming, also in '86 the truck was auctioned to an construction company were it hauled a dump trailer for many years until '99, in '99 it was sold to a o/o who is also the cousin with the person who owns the White 4000 that hauled the Red Falt bed in this movie, both of the cosuins live in Omaha, NE were the Diamond Reo is still hauling a Dump Trailer and the White is also now hauling a Dump Trailer this truck featured a 3306 350HP Cat during filming with a RT905 8LL Speed Transmission which is what still remains in it today -- Last edit: 2009-09-29 20:48:04 |
